Stephanie F. Long, J.D.

Founder and Managing Partner

A graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law, Stephanie has almost 20 years of experience providing tax planning and business advice to her clients. She is a published author and national seminar speaker, lecturer, and instructor. She has guided many clients on business and tax planning techniques important to real estate investors and business owners. Stephanie's primary focus is assisting clients with their business and tax planning goals.  When not in the office, she can be found frequenting live music venues, perusing the local vegetarian fare, or hanging out with her husband Dave and their dog, Charlie.

Peter McFarland, J.D., LL.M


A graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, Peter is proud to provide counsel to his clients on matters ranging from business entity and asset protection planning, traditional estate planning, real estate law, to tax planning. He is a regular contributor to journals and newspapers and speaks to many business groups by way of webinars and seminars. Peter can also be found hiking with his wife and two dogs or searching for his next photographic masterpiece.

Brian Woldt


Brian relocated from Minnesota to join the Long Law Group team. During his extensive professional career as a CPA, Brian has primarily focused on preparing business financial statements and federal and state tax returns for businesses and individuals. He has worked with many different types of businesses and has substantial experience with construction and real estate developments. After leaving the office, Brian tackles his second job as a father of four children, roots for the Minnesota Vikings, and sneaks onto the golf course.

Rocky Michaelson

CPA Intern

Rocky is currently enrolled at the University of Colorado at Denver, majoring in accounting in pursuit of becoming a Certified Public Accountant. His goal is to provide the most optimized and efficient tax strategies to clients. In his spare time, Rocky loves being physically active and helping counsel the youth in his area. Most importantly, however, he treasures spending time with his friends and family.


Annie Hatter

Financial Records Manager and Bookkeeper

Annie joins Long Law Group after a four-year stint as the Business Ops Manager for Heritage Farms. As a previous small business owner, she knows the importance keeping the books up-to-date and accurate so they are a valuable tool for management and insight. When not in the office, you will find Annie enjoying the outdoors with her husband and two girls.

Janny Arbaugh

Bookkeeping Assistant

Janny joined Long Law Group in December 2019.  She brings accounting and analytical skills from her prior internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance roles.  On weekends, Janny and her husband are busy cheering for their daughter and her softball team at competitive softball tournaments.

Stacy Riley

Marketing Manager

After earning a B.A. in Psychology and spending a decade as a business owner in the performing arts, Stacy was ready for a transition. Fortune brought her to Long Law Group, where she truly enjoys using her video production, marketing, and communication skills to bring greater market awareness to the many services we provide. During off-hours, Stacy sings for private events and appears in TV commercials and industrial video. She also loves exploring the vast natural wonders of this exceptionally beautiful state.

David Long

Business Advisor &

Team Management Expert

David’s primary focus is collaborating with business owners to develop and establish strategies for their teams to implement. With over twenty years in business management, David gained extensive operations and supervising experience through store management roles for a variety of large multi-state companies. He has a true passion for using his acute business sense to improve performance and streamline efficiency. Additionally, David is acting as our Human Resource and Payroll Manager. He received his B.S. in Accounting from Regis University in Denver. Outside of the office, he can be found camping, gardening, and enjoying music.

Karson Mayer

Office Manager

Karson’s roots are in the Midwest, where she grew up in Missouri, and earned her Fine Arts and Education degrees in Illinois. She’s been much of a nomad in her adult life, but now is incredibly grateful to call Colorado her home. Our clients and professionals alike benefit from her creative problem solving and communication skills. Karson hasn’t yet shaken the travel bug, so you can find her catching flights whenever possible. She can also be found camping, hiking, and attending live music events, in her time outside the office. 


Charlie Long

Office Mascot/Morale Manager

Charlie joined the firm in spring of 2019. He has since brought smiles and good spirits to all who enter the office. As the official office wookiee, Charlie's objectives are to greet guests, chew computer wires, and bound joyfully up and down the hallways. Catch him if you can!
